Here's where we pay homage to the past employees of Positive Energy. We couldn't have gotten here without you!

Phil Undercuffler

Phil Undercuffler enjoys life off the grid near Madrid, New Mexico, where he, his wife Claire, and his twin daughters Zoe and Kate live in an evolving straw bale home complete with a solar electric power system, radiant heat, rainwater catchment and greywater gardens. Phil and Claire first met Allan when he designed their photovoltaic power system many years ago. Phil installed that first system as an owner-builder, and has now gone on to become a licensed Electrical Contractor and Journeyman Electrician. When not busy keeping up with Kate and Zoe, both Phil and Claire are proud members of the Madrid Volunteer Fire Department.

Dan Rice

Dan Rice (pictured here on the far right) was with Positive Energy from 2001 to 2003, having arrived in Santa Fe through a circuitous route. As a graduate of the Photovoltaic System Design and Installation program at San Juan College, and with a background as an ASE certified Master Automobile Technician, Dan provided us with a mix of skills which blend renewable energy with backup generator power systems. Dan is also a graduate of UC Santa Cruz with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Policy. He now lives in Escalante, Utah, and is the owner of Abundant Sun, LLC., a Utah licensed solar energy systems contractor.

Colin Mitchell

Colin Mitchell first became interested in learning about Renewable Energy while living in Asia. Smitten with the Sun, he began his studies with a summer's worth of courses at Solar Energy International in Carbondale, CO and then went on to earn the first one-year certificate degree in "Photovoltaic System Design and Installation" from San Juan College in Farmington, NM. Colin met the Positive Energy crew on a cooperative installation project in Taos, and was hired immediately upon graduation.

"I'm one of those people for whom living with Sun power is an overwhelming attraction. The Sun gifts us with warmth, light and gravity. I moved here to New Mexico specifically for the Sun and for the Land. Learning to work with and not in spite of the Sun's amazing influence is a huge opportunity for me. I hope to share this gift with as many people as possible."
